Your licence

By using Diurnal you agree to these terms. You have a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on Macs you control. You may not redistribute it, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, or remove its ownership notices. The app, its design and its name remain their owner’s.

Acceptable use

Do not use Diurnal or its sync service to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• reach accounts, systems or data that are not yours;
• overwhelm or circumvent the service;
• store or transmit malicious code.

Your account

Diurnal requires an account. Keep access to it secure: it is what identifies you. You are responsible for what you create; the privacy policy says what happens to it.

Third-party services

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. When you do, Google’s terms and privacy policy apply to it as well. Diurnal is not responsible for changes or interruptions on Google’s side. Which scopes are requested is on Data & permissions.

Availability

If the sync service is unreachable, the app keeps working on your Mac and catches up when it can. No level of availability is promised; the service may change or be discontinued.

No warranty

Diurnal is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own backups. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law permits, no liability is accepted for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Diurnal. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending, changes, contact

Stop using Diurnal whenever you like; signing out first empties that Mac. The licence may be terminated for a material breach, and the ownership, warranty and liability sections survive it. When these terms change, the effective date above changes with them. Questions: through the project’s repository.
