Tap, swipe and drag
Finish, move, reorder and open tasks on Android with taps, swipes and drags, and the same actions with TalkBack.
On a phone, your fingers do what keys do on the Mac. Everything here works on Plan's cards; the pad has its own ring and handle.
Change a task's status
Tap a task's ring. Each tap moves it along: open, then in progress, then done. One more tap opens it again.
Finishing a task shows a note with Undo. On the pad, tapping the ring again straight away also takes the finish back.
Swipe a card
- Swipe right to finish it. Undo in the note takes it back.
- Swipe left to open Move to, which lists where the task can go, and Pick a date… for any other day.
One day of a repeating task only swipes right, and a finished task doesn't swipe.
Drag to reorder or reschedule
Touch and hold a card until it lifts, then drag it. You feel a light tap as it lifts, as it moves to a new spot, and as it lands.
- On Today, drag cards into order, or drag one from From the pad into the day.
- On Week, drag a card to another day. Hold it at the edge of the screen to reach the next days.
- On the pad, the handle under the ring of the task you're editing moves that task: touch and hold it, then drag.
Open a task
Tap a card to open its sheet: edit the title, set a Reminder or Repeat, add a Tag or a Project, Move to another day, see its History, or Copy it.
To close the sheet, go back, or drag it down by its handle.
With TalkBack
A Plan card's TalkBack actions match its swipes, Done and Move to, and add Move up and Move down wherever the card can move. Tasks on the pad offer Move up and Move down too.
Add a task from anywhere
Add a task on Android without opening Diurnal, from the Quick Settings tile, the Today widget, the share menu or the launcher icon.
Reminders and notifications on Android
Let Diurnal's reminders ring on time on Android, use Done, Join and View from a notification, and control Focus from the lock screen.
