Diurnal on Android

Settings on Android

What each group in Diurnal's Android Settings holds, how to reach help and the privacy policy, and which settings stay on your phone.

To open Settings, tap your initial at the top of any lens. Your name and email sit at the top, then four groups.

Your day

  • Pad and auto-clean: when to ask Still on this? and when to move an unanswered task to next week, and under Plan, Group All time by tags. See Auto-clean.
  • Notifications: the reminder sound, Play for, Remind me before events, and Show “Done” on task reminders. See Reminders and notifications.
  • Focus: round and break lengths, Rounds in a set, what happens between rounds, chimes, the sounds for focus and for breaks, and Stop when headphones disconnect.
  • Tags: your tags, each with its colour and how many open tasks carry it. Tap + for a new tag. Tap a tag for Rename, Colour, Turn into project and Delete, or tap its pie to turn it into a project. Delete takes the tag off every task straight away, with no confirmation. See Tags.

Connections

  • Calendars: Connect Google Calendar, choose which calendars show, Connect another Google account, or Disconnect one. See Google Calendar.
  • Connected apps: the AI apps you connected, with when each was last used. Tap Disconnect…, then Disconnect, and the app can no longer read or change your tasks. See Connect an AI app.

This phone

  • Appearance: System, Light or Dark, and the typeface, Crimson Pro or Inter. Text size follows Android's own setting.
  • Widget and Quick Settings: add the capture tile and the Today widget. See Add a task from anywhere.

Diurnal

  • Send feedback: choose Feature request, Bug or Chit-chat, write your message, and tap Send.
  • Help opens these docs, and Privacy policy opens the privacy policy, in your browser.
  • Account shows your name, email, how you sign in and whether everything is synced, with Sign out and Delete account. Tap Name to change it. See Delete your account.

The version of Diurnal on your phone is shown at the bottom of Settings.

What stays on this phone

These belong to your phone and never sync: the theme and typeface, everything in Focus settings, Show “Done” on task reminders, the calendar's view, the pad's filter, and the widget and tile.

Everything else in Settings follows your account to your Mac. See what follows you.
