Calendars

Connect Google accounts in Diurnal, choose which calendars show beside your tasks, and fix a calendar that stops syncing.

Diurnal shows Google Calendar events beside your tasks. Connecting a calendar is separate from signing in, and optional.

Connect a Google account

  1. Open Settings › Calendars and click Connect….
  2. Your browser opens Google. Choose the account and tick both calendar boxes Google shows.
  3. Back in Diurnal, the account appears as a card with its calendars. Click Cancel Sign-In if you change your mind while it waits.

To add another Google account, click Add Account….

Choose what shows

  • Click a calendar to show or hide it.
  • The switch beside an account turns the whole account off or back on.

What you show or hide applies on every Mac you use.

Remove an account

Click ⋯ on the account's card, then Remove Account… and Remove. Its events stop appearing beside your tasks. You can also revoke Diurnal's access in your Google Account settings.

When a calendar stops syncing

If a card shows Reconnect…, click it and sign in to Google again. If it says calendar access wasn't granted, reconnect and tick both calendar boxes on Google's screen. Events already synced stay visible meanwhile.

For working with events in your day, see Google Calendar.
