Notifications
Set Diurnal's notification sound, how long reminders ring, the alarm sound, and reminders before meetings.
If macOS has notifications switched off for Diurnal, the tab says so at the top. Click Open System Settings… and allow them, or Allow Notifications if Diurnal hasn't asked yet. Without them, reminders can't ring.
Notifications
Notification sound plays for notifications and for reminders that ring once. Choose Silent or one of the macOS sounds; the default is Submarine. Picking a sound plays it.
Reminders
Keep Diurnal running in the menu bar so reminders ring; a reminder only rings longer than once while Diurnal is running.
- Play for sets how long a reminder keeps ringing: Once (the default), or 10, 20, 30, 45 or 60 seconds. It is dimmed when the notification sound is Silent.
- Alarm sound appears when a reminder rings for longer than once, and loops for that time. The default is Radar. With Once, reminders use your notification sound.
Calendar
Remind me before events sends a notification before each meeting: Off, or 1, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes, or 1 hour, before. The default is 10 minutes.
All four settings sync to your other Macs.
